Purpose Driven Life: Day 11

Posted by Blackstone on 2011-06-17 16:39:01, Friday

This post is part of our "Purpose Driven Life" book study, the first official Christian Boylove Forum book study. If you would like to join in, do not be discouraged by the thought that it's too late. The book is designed to be read one chapter per day but we only study one chapter every Monday and Thursday in this forum, so if you read it at the book's recommended pace, you will catch up with us very quickly. If you do not own the book, you can read the first few chapters for free here: http://www.purposedrivenlife.com/en-US/AboutUs/AboutTheBook/FirstSevenChapters.htm while you look for the book in your local bookstores or wait for it to arrive from an online merchant.

In my opinion, this is the most important chapter of the book. In my spiritual walk, my spiritual highs have been at their highest when I have maintained that constant awareness and dialogue with God throughout the day. Those times have been the times most filled with spiritual revelations, words from God, and just general happiness and well being. I hope to get back to that, I'm not sure how I ever got away from it. If you really want God to use you, practice what this chapter teaches.

*one caveat: I'm not a big believer in the "breath prayers". But the rest of the chapter I strongly agree with.

There's not much here that looks any different form a bl perspective than from a non-bl perspective, so I think I'll leave it there for this chapter.

My apologies for being late with this post.
