I finished it yesterday and I'm not sure what to think about it, but it was definitely an interesting read. I could relate to Joe, and it made me think about a boy I knew once but didn't get close to for fear of what it might look like. I have some deep regrets over that - it reminded me that with my current YF, I need to put him first despite my fear of potential outward appearances.

I'll probably pick up This Too is Love later on, Jay Edson seems to have quite a good idea of what he's writing about.
