I don't know how this is going to go over in my church, but I think I will put this out as a prayer concern next Sunday as well. I was a victim of bullying when I was in grade school and somewhat in High School and it was horrible. I was called "fag" and many other hurtful names, as well as physically threatened and hurt while in school and on the bus, especially on the school bus. Most of the time I went to school I was scared out of my mind...that is NO way to live and certainly no way to have a decent education. You would think that in 2010 society would have learned how to deal with this problem, but it seems that it is just as bad as it was back in the 70's. I think a pink shirt day world-wide would be an excellent gesture but there also must be some things done that will insure that this kind of garbage doesn't happen any more.
