That may work for some BLs, but for those of us who have no such ideal boy image or desire for the ideal, it rings hollow. If it works for you, use it. But I think it's a stretch to generalize it without taking into account how others might feel.

At first that theory of the ideal boy sounded like a bunch of rubbish to me because it was so different from how I feel. Over time, I realized enough other people feel that way that there likely is some validity to that point of view for a lot of people. Still, it doesn't change the fact that it doesn't reflect my experience or that of many others.
