I think the value of Mills' material is that it presents the idea that if a non-straight person wants to give heterosexual marriage a go they should feel that they have every right and ability to do so. In terms of encouraging BLs to take up that path, I think I would be way more cautious. Any marriage is a risk.... for us it is more so. Up to now my advice to BLs has been.... consider marriage, put it on the table as an option... ie: don't think you can't go that way. I'm pretty sure it would be very wrong for me to push anyone in that direction. I really was comforted reading that the Holy Spirit will lead people in the way they should go. I do really believe that. I just have to also understand that the Holy Spirit has given gifts and powers to teachers and I know I have significant influence over a number of people in that capacity and I don't want to misuse it.
