I have seen my share of counselors and psychologists and well meaning non professionals. Some of them were helpful and good, others had their heads buried in the sand. What I learned along the way is that you take what you can use from them and then move on. Most of them really do not have a clue about us, about how we think and feel. They do not try to walk in our shoes because they don't have to. I'm sorry you wasted your money on this guy but maybe it wasn't too much of a waste of time if you see it as a learning experience. For instance, you learned what a jerk some of these guys can turn out to be, right? Did you happen to mention CBLF to this guy during any of your sessions? I had a Christian psychologist who counceled me for quite a few years who just loved this forum and who now recommends it to some of her new patients.
