Welcome aboard. I am glad you found yourself here and look forward to hearing more from you. I want to point out that before you start communicating with others here via email, you should consider obtaining a more secure email address. Gmail sends out your ip address with every email. IP addresses aren't normally a big deal, your ip address is already available to every website you visit. But the ip address does reveal the general area in which your computer is located and most people around here would rather keep that a secret. Also, if you ever wind up running other services on that ip address, someone could find out more details about you by taking a look at those services. Finally, the ip address allows someone to specifically target you in a cyber attack. Someone posted about more secure email addresses recently. I don't have time to search through the posts today, but it should still be on the main page. Look around and you'll find more info on other email alternatives. |
