Some of what you say is true but Im not talking about the msn virus that randomly sends out messages to people in your friends list...Thats different I've seen that too, it serves a different purpose.

The ones I'm talking about are specifically created hotmail accounts soley for the purpose of spamming people with invites to their porn website. How could it be hard to trace when the spammer bot gives you the weblink for the porn site at the end of the conversation? Once you visit the site it is easy to check the ip adress on a whois lookup or domain search showing the deatils of the admin and where its registered.
