It's not an either/or for me.

I talk to Jesus WITH my imaginaries. They don't replace my relationship with God... they are part of it. I also don't think its a question of keeping me out of trouble. Sometimes my imaginaries have gotten me into trouble... people thinking I'm weird, etc... You are not alone, however in your sentiment. Many people I know who don't have any experience of imaginaries themselves say very similar things to me like what you have said. My boss is the most enjoyable, he rolls his eyes upwards in this most good-humouredly distressed way and says to me, "I just can't relate!" Blessings Cat.
