2 Cor 11:2 "I am jealous of you with a jealousy of God. I betrothed for you to one husband, a pure virgin to present to Christ; and I fear lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cleverness, your thoughts should be seduced from the simplicity and the purity in Christ."

To Quote Kittel, "As God seeks with holy zeal (the same word translated jealouy) to keep his people from idolatry. So Paul jealously watches over the church lest it fall into error.
Where is the contradiction between love and jealusy, since the word used for jealousy does not mean what the modern usage of "jealousy" means. Or are you saying that a husband who loves his bride should not be jealous but look the other way if she should go after other men?
