Paul is Saul. Why are you refering to them as two different people?

How is he an earlier disciple? He didn't start preaching until after Jesus had been crucified.

It just seems to me like your knowledge of scripture is very limited. You have trouble remembering who very important characters were and what they did and you remember at least one story totally backwards. All I am saying is that perhaps before you start going down this martyr's path you need to put his word in your heart.

You speak of modern heroes like Martin Luther King. Well, being filled with the word is something that Dr King believed in very strongly. He was a voracious reader of scripture who carried the bible with him everywhere he went and could quote scripture from memory. In her book "Quiet Strength", Rosa Parks also speaks of the importance of scripture in her struggle.

If you really want to be a fighter for this cause, you can't do it successfully from a position of weakness. You need to be a strong, stable, confident person like those heroes of whom you speak. You also have to have the scripture in your heart. You can't be calling Daniel David and claiming Jesus helped animals out of ditches and Paul was an early disciple. You need to be strong of character, and strong of faith. You need to get into the word.
