I had the exact same thing happen to me. It is not an easy thing to do but I gave him a time frame to start doing the right thing and had a nice little talk with him. It was unfortunate that he did not respond and I had to follow through with having him leave after the time I gave him was up. But I did help him find an organization that would help him and I took him there and made sure he was OK. It was a hard thing for me to do but He did learn that he had to take responsibility for his own life. He even thanked me later after he came to his senses. Anyway good luck I hope it works out OK for you and him and that he realizes how good of a friend you are to him. I will be praying about this situation for you.
