It interests me that on occasion the issue gets an implicit hearing; the first episode of Queer as Folk has a 15 yo getting laid by a 30 yo (at least the original UK version does). Similarly more recently there was a drama on Channel 4 where a 14yo threw himself at a released 'offender' and the whole situation was definitely slanted in favour of the ex-offender. But on the whole I get the impression that the gay community wants to have nothing to do with us because they are basking in the warmth of general public acceptance and want to do nothing that will cloud that. For which I have a great deal of sympathy...
