Depends on who you ask. I had a gay friend who insisted that I was gay because boys are males. On the other hand, the gay culture is never one I have closely identified with and I have never found it a useful label to use for myself.

I don't consider myself gay, but if someone wishes to consider me gay because boys are male, that's fine. Pedophile is a much more accurate label, however.
