As Cat said, labels mean different things to different people. But being attracted to young boys is a WAY different sexuality than just being gay. Most gays aren't attracted to young boys for the same reason most heteros aren't attracted to young girls. They aren't fully developed. For me and a lot of other BLers, not being fully developed is part of what sexually attracts me to them, I don't know why. I am totally turned off sexually by adult males. However, I AM attracted to adult women, while I'm NOT attracted to young girls. Weird, huh? Some have suggested that when BLers are attracted to boys but not men it's because boys look more like women, such as softer and no body hair. In any case, labels have never made much difference to me. I am what I am, no matter what tag you want to put on it.

This reminds me of an episode of that old sitcom "Different Strokes." Arnold and a friend of his were befriended by Gordon Jump. He's the actor who played Mr. Carlson on "WKRP in Cincinnati." Anyway, in the tv show, he was a pedophile who was trying to seduce Arnold and his friend. He didn't succeed and was discovered and caught. At the end when Mr. Drummond was talking to the cop, Willis commented that he never thought the Gordon Jump character was gay. The cop said he wasn't. He explained that it's not unusual for pedophiles to be attracted to minor boys but not gay. Quite a progressive episode for public tv at the time.
