You are confusing Platonic idealism with a main strand of Greek philosophy found in Aristotle Athenagoras and other major philosopherss. The essense "ousia" is the commonality all things of a set have (all horses have this, this and this...etc) The hypostsasis is the individualiation of this essense. Saint Paul need not be "Platonic" simply Greek, a product of his education
