there has to be 'reasonable cause' for a court order to force a password out of you. the lad in the famous case was actually seen with kp on his computer at a border crossing. you can always sincerely try a password that doesn't work, making it either a memory loss or a software problem. much easier to do that if it's a remote drive rather than your whole operating system. police are more likely to break into your house and install keyloggers and cameras, or send you a keylogger in an email attachment in a sting. (but that's just for activists, you don't need to worry, mr. unique) many people who didn't think they were collecting kp and stuck to sexy but legal pics later found out that law changes made those pics kp later on. like model sites or speedo pics (in UK). so it follows from that that whenever you are being perfectly legal, you should act with the same security as the most hardened internet criminal. eurpean parliament talks about making sites like this illegal because pedos exchange information on them. big brother is advancing and it is war against him. |
