This is a terribly poignant song for me... I once had a visit from a 15 year old who'd seen my photo in the paper ... said he was 18 and wanted to talk to me about the gay organization i was in ... but you can guess of course, he was much younger and wanted a 20-something bf very badly. I had to tell the poor lad that I already had a bf.. but then he said, "can I at least have a hug?" ... so we hugged in my apartment all the way through side 2 of that album (vinyl, this is history)... I never saw him again. Mikey, I sure hope you had a good life and found someone worthy of you.
