I've met BL friends in two different countries so far, though not yet ever in my own country (just coincidence). I also arranged to meet one BL friend on the London Eye one day but he stood me up. Then he confessed that it was because he'd falsified everything he said about himself for 2 years in chat and email and was too embarrassed to show up as he really was. It wouldn't have mattered to me: I wasn't clueless about what was going on (discernment of spirits can be a heart-rending gift at times). Anyways, it just goes to show how interesting the whole process of meeting other BLs can get. And that's even when you know the person isn't an entrapper of some kind (vigilante, over-vigilant cop).
