I just had to do this, because it adds so much to what I said about "Law and Grace."
Amazing Grace - Amazing Boys (poem) Submitted by Little Tree on 2009-07-10 14:17:41, Friday From time to time I like to compose poems or songs, and the following one I'd like to share with you (as English isn't my native language it's sometimes not easy to find a suitable rime ;) This morning I derived a somehow extended version from the well-known "Amazing Grace" ... Hope you like it! Amazing Grace - Amazing Boys Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind but now I see. You came not for the ninety-nine, you searched the missing one. I knew I was not good, not fine, I was the one that gone. At Golgotha Christ bore my sin, He justified me there. No matter what before I've been how evil, poor, and bare. You took me as I was, oh God. Thank you, I am your son. Thus I have not to fear a lot, With you I'm going on. Lead me your ways, I pray thee, God, I follow anywhere. The narrow path is sometimes hard, but you are always there. I realized you put a love for boys into my heart. It seemed to me first as a cuff, why me, my Lord, I asked. "Sufficient is my Grace for you, when you feel weak, you're strong." The Grace that saved me (as I knew) that same was never wrong. Yes, I love boys, honest and pure - but keep them as God's gift. True love does no evil for sure! (All other things are theft.) Love loves, is just, not puffed up, not unseemly, not bad. It has compassion, does not stub, rejoices, helps the sad. All who want more than this, I say, they do not love, they hurt. Preserve boys from these men, I pray, Lord, send them an alert. But how can Christians feel boylove? Discussions will not end. For myself it should be enough, that You do understand. "If I'm with you, who will resist?" You'll lead me safe, you're near. Still we do see as through some mist, but one day we see clear. You'll keep your good, eternal word, Your Grace will lead us home. We'll see you face to face, our Lord, we'll fall down at your throne. Amazing Boys, how sweet the sound when I will hear them sing: "Worthy the Lamb", and praise aloud: "He is forever King!" by Little Tree Follow ups: Aman brother |
