Indeed I think it was about sexual nudity that was practice in Caanan. But then my post was about how it may have began with Noah's nahedness.
I don't know about you, but at my age, to see a nude boy or man, depends on what I may be focussing on; I think it was a matter of him just not looking, but it was more to it than that. The male body and all of its' parts, was not what I feel Leviticus 18 was talking about. Often it is what it leads to. I feel I could love the sight, and be moved to touch or feel or want to do more. And if I was the one to uncover it. I think I would have a desire to that could lead to lust. Old or even young nudity is not a thing to play around with. Gay love, I think, is a part of what we see in the male body that is not to be found in that of a female. Mind to mind, as heart to heart, leads to body and soul. The spirit of foirnication, is not a plaything; just as sexual pleasure cannot be avoided when two people are so moved to enjoy it. The problem is not so much the Law, but how we view it. How it came about and why? And if by knowledge we understand from that of history, of the Bible or the world, How we have come to use and live by such feelings that we have about the Law. We are not Jews, but Gentiles. |
