I was at the beach with a bl friend and we observed a man who appeared to be in his low to mid 20s who was playing in the water with a boy of about 12. We joked about how it was probably a bl and his yf. The more we observed them however, the less of a joke it started to seem. The guy was so into it, so totally involved in playing with this boy that he seemed oblivious to the rest of the world around him. The way the man was focused so completely on playing with this boy and the length of time that they continued to play with each other made it seem like this really could be a bl and yf at play. Thinking of how we would act were it a girl we were playing with, my friend and I both agreed that interest in playing with the child would have subsided long ago, yet here they were still intensely focused on each other over an hour later. The way they interacted was very telling and the final straw was when they exited the water and the boy slapped the man on the butt several times playfully.

Sure, there is always the possibility that this guy was not a bl and merely an adult with an amazing ability to remain thoroughly engrossed in playing with a boy for hours and this was his cousin or little brother with whom he was comfortable slapping each other's butts. My friend and I both agreed that we wish there were a secret bl gang sign that we could flash and easily make our presence known to a fellow bl. Sure, there are blogo pendants available, but those make your presence known to everyone who knows that symbol at all times, and can't just be flashed selectively at one individual.
