I dunno unless your intimacy is well...really intimate, then it should not be a problem. I mean hugging, arms around the shoulders, stuff like that should be just fine in public. Personally I have always enjoyed balancing doing stuff with just me and my yf in private as well as stuff in public. It's fun to do different kinds of stuff with them, physical activity, sit down stuff, in door, out door, etc

So run around the park on a nice day and have fun then go home and cuddle or hug or whatever. You will see him again, don't spend it all doing the same thing.

Not all straight people are lucky in all ways but they do have a much easier sexuality to deal with than us.
