So the man has been brushing up on his reading lately, the bible of course.

In Romans Chapter One, where is speaks of people who ignore God end up going in a downward spiral. Couldn't think of anything better for him to read.
The man said that he really, truly, felt enlightened after reading it.

He later went to read James Chapter One, of course where it talks about trials, and how to consider them blessings. But something else stuck out to him, it's how the bible emphasizes, that prosperity, and peaceful times are limited, and it goes on to say that it's even unhealthy in depend on such times.

He reflected on those things along with a few others.
I sat down as he told me, you know, that he's not a bad person.
And that overtime, he's built this negativity towards himself, that he was a bad person or something, just because he is gay.
