It's dangerous to assume anything on an anonymous board, including the ages of the posters. You're wise not to take what anyone claims for granted. A while back, we had an infamous poster by the nick of jr that claimed to be a minor that caused a bit of a division here on the board. The fantasy was quite intricate and even fooled someone who was a regular poster here at the time. jr turned out to be an adult bler who really meant no harm but was merely playing out a fantasy. It still caused some hard feelings.

I personally recommend that a poster should be taken at his word, but don't bet the farm on it.
