There's no element of interrogation in terms of what you've ever done - rather they do allow you to present what you want about what happened (i.e. what you've been convicted of), and then challenge you about WHY it happened. Which is fair enough, and I suspect quite helpful. In your case it wouldn't be relevant - because you aren't an offender in the area - except about images. So I guess you're unlucky with the carnivores that run your course... they sound really unpleasant.

As a matter of legality, they are supposed to operate the principle of natural justice which says 'innocent until proven guilty' - an approach which has forced my harrasser to back off to some extent. The correct answer to 'Did you do X' is 'Prove it - until then you MUST assume I didn't'. But it requires you to be fairly bloody minded - which doesn't sound like your style. However it's possible that our system has been subjected to legal challenge over this issues and forced to accept this logic.
