I do not know what it is like personally because I have never had to go through such a thing.(Thank God!) But my little brother is a child molester (he forced the boys to do it) and got caught and was put in jail for a while. I remember when he got out and he was made to go to a sex offender treatment program. I can tell you that they really made him feel like the scum of the earth and messed up his mind even worse than it was before. They made him and his situation seem hopeless and did not offer any real help so that he could overcome the need to act on his feelings or how to understand those feelings and deal with them in a positive way. So by the time he got out and was no longer on parole he took off thinking there was no hope for him and that he was a child molester and would always be one. And so he went on to being a child molester again. I am sure some of it had to do with his own attitude I mean you do have to take responsibility for your actions and for who you are. But I also know that "their program" was designed to scare the hell out of him and didn't offer him the help that he was in desperate need off.

I wonder if these programs are really designed to help people. Or if they have a totally different agenda. As you can tell my thoughts on it are suspicious to say the least. I am sorry you guys had to go through it!
