No, I'm a salvation through faith guy. If I seem to be slightly hesitant, it's just because I'm dealing with that old conundrum about what to do with people who go through the motions of salvation by faith but then persist in consistent evil action, suggesting absolute hypocrisy.


I believe, also, that there is still a legitimate and functional place for repentance in the lives of those who are saved by faith.

There are all sorts of people who will take any oath available that seems opportune, and many of these know the knack of being sufficiently dishonest with themselves to rationalize any hideous actions in terms of whatever the oath was.

I think if Adolf Hitler and gone up to the front at a local gospel show and been "saved" by a roaming pentecostal preacher when he was 13, and he'd still managed to live out the rest of his life just as he did in reality, his redemption would be in serious question. I don't presume to say how it would go on the day of his judgment.
