The Hoby cup portrays Philoctetes getting his infected (smelly, pussy) foot washed. Surely that's close enough to the Bible to please everyone? There's a MORAL dimension here, beyond the eroticism of having your foot washed by three cute naked Greek boys. The goodness is an important part of the beauty; the participation in the communal effort (taking Troy) is a part of the beauty. See, Philoctetes is sulking on an island, because he groaned so much all the time that it ruined the sacrifices.
