That's a sucky way of thinking about life, in my opinion.

What do you mean by "they have no other choice"? How is there not a choice when it comes to "rejecting God's love"? I think to "reject" something you have to CHOOSE to accept something else, and thus you have CHOOSEN to reject the thing that you rejected. Whether or not you are aware of it at the time, you have still made a choice.
