Which after all is the basis of much of gay rights campaigning. One reads so many stories of people who say 'I knew I was gay from an early age...' and see this as justification for abandoning any expectation of anything else. Whereas the stories here, of men who as boys offered their AFs sex, suggest they were 'going through a gay phase' which they then grew out of. Whereas the story which the gay community encourages is that you are going to stay gay. And surely if you accept that label for yourself at the margin you are more likely to remain in that mode, exploring relationships with other males rather than being open to an attraction to a female.
