God gave you (as a human) the sexual desires you experience. Sin has of course corrupted everything, but God has given us all things richly to enjoy (1 Tim 6:17). The way to overcome sin is not through rule and regulation (Colossians 2:20-23) but through love.

The attachment and attraction you feel for your yf can be expressed in loving rather than lustful ways. And I think God will bless you in it. Self-control and love are both fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23).

Fire is a good but dangerous thing. Sure if you treat it disrespectfully it will burn you and others. But if you contain it and harness it and treat it with respect, fire is a powerful force that can keep you warm and fuel your machines and cook your food.

I don't believe God is going to take away your sex drive. I don't think He is going to take away your attraction to boys either. It's the same for straight guys, God neither takes away their sex drive or their attraction to other women (even when they get married). But that is ok! He can have a great relationship with you just as you are.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Rom 12:21.

Should you end it with your yf? Why would you do that? You should love your yf as best as you can. You should seek God for self-control and avoid situations where you will be tempted to behave in lustful, non-loving ways towards him. Celebrate your love for him before God and ask His help in loving him well.

Brother God is not going to give you a way OUT but a way FORWARD.
