...especially with teenagers. Good Lord, who can ever figure them out? They can be so moody and change moods at a moments notice. With "L" I thought I would pull my hair right out many times. But I think the thing that really helped the most was that we had already established a very meaningfuly relationship before he became a teenager. It WAS weird because the hugs got to be less and less, until he didn't want any at all. But we were still great friends and were able to talk all the time. He got a little more quiet around the age of 16 or so, but that was more or less his personality. I always treated him as a good and valuable friend, even though things kind of changed between us. What I did realize, though, that the only things that really DID change were the ways in which we comunicated, kind of. I knew he still loved me and he knew that I still loved him...very much. So really, nothing of any real importance change at all. We just found different ways to express our love and friendship to each other, that's all.
