For me a way of avoiding the danger of succumbing to temptation was to always have more than one boy around at the same time. It might be difficult to achieve if your YF gets a lot from being your special friend, but it might help defuse the situation for you. Certainly it worked for me - three of the four boys I added to my life 13 years ago are still playing a big role in it - the fourth is married with his own son! I was very careful never to have any of them with me on their own until they were 16; they are now 27....
