I agree whole-heartedly with what Godspell had to say. That this YF of yours is now an adult and must take up the responsibilities of an adult. But I must also tell you that I admire your love and devotion to your YF, even if it is causing you so much grief right now. I had the experience of living with my YF for a short while when he was older (17 to 19, off and on). It was good but in the way you described, it was also a challenge because when he was a younger boy he too had me just totally wrapped around his little finger. He did not suffer from depression, though, believe it or not, at the time, I did. But things did get strained between us from time to time.

Anyway, like Godspell said, you are going to have to put your foot down with him. But I think you should be able to find a way to do it with love. Let us know how things are going, ok?
