I had an AF when I was a very isolated teenager; sadly he sought to add a sexual element to it when I was outed as gay in a very homophobic environment due to other circumstances. In retrospect that really messed things up for us for the rest of the time at the school (he was a 'security guard' there - for lack of a better description). So learn the lesson guys - it's NOT good to make a serious pass at your YF even if you think he's gay. I was 15 at the time by the way - below the AoC for our jurisdiction.
