Tomorrow I am going to prove that I like to post things other than movie revues, but today I just had to do this one. The movie is called "Kabluey" and it is a comedy about a woman who has two holy-terrors for sons and needs some help (a LOT of help) with them because her husband is off fighting in Iraq. So she calls thier uncle, Salman, who is kind of the black sheep of the family, to come and help out. He does so because he has no job anyway and is kind of drifting through life. Right from the very start the boys decide they hate him and then he has to get this terrible job as a giant blue corporate mascot, passing out pamphlets on the highway.

Sounds kind of wild, dosen't it? Well, it is a comedy but it is quite moving at times. Believe it or not, this movie does a great job of reflecting on how it feels to be a BL. It is not centered around the boys, but rather it is centered around the uncle, who tries his best to do well by them and thier mother, in a very trying situation. There is a birthday party scene that just makes the movie for me. This one is very good.
