I don't think a BL has to have a talent for working with kids to qualify for what I was talking about.

I agree with you that not all BLs are tallented or gifted with kid skills.

However, what I was saying was that true boylove must be focused emotionally on particular boys to be in fact love. Whether you have any direct involvement with that boy(s) is less relevant... though what a sad life, I would think, that had no interaction with children in it (and I mean that for any adult... not just BLs).

My vision was that a man in community would come up against boys and be called upon to love them; Chris' situation in his church community is a perfect example. You may not have much interaction with these boys directly... nevertheless you get to love them by being a model man within the community and through the way your lives touch in a communal setting (prefo rmances, testimonies, communion, praying for each other, sitting across the table at meal times etc...). You are an example to them of a Christian man... be this example in love.

If you are a boylover and there are no boys in your life... then I'd wonder if your lifestyle was entirely healthy... and question if you were connected in community the way I think we all need to be. Of course the exception I'd make to this would be if someone was really struggling with self-control problems and was at risk of doing something illegal (but I'd think that that would be the exception rather than the rule).

Just my opinion of course.
