but isn't that down to the perception that we have of ourselves as reflected back at us by 'society'?
I was a teacher for 25 years and never once had a self-conscious moment regarding my own sexuality vis-a-vis by relationship with my pupils. Since my arrest however, and the course that I was thereafter obliged to attend, that is changed for ever. I am now as selfconscious and unnerved by children near by as you seem to be. basically, I run a mile.
