bigcalv I totally agree with you on that point.

But sometimes God does put people in our path that we may love very much and we are sexually attracted to them.

Every human being would experience this I'd wager.
The challenge before us it to love those who God gives us and resist the temptations to lust over them.

The bible does not teach us not to love or befriend anyone we find attractive sexually. And I'd say for most people, regardless of their sexuality... any long term loving friendship must have some moment of "gosh I think he's/she's sexy in some way".

I'm all for pursuing a yf... but not if your motive is sexual gratification. If you want a yf so that you may give him tonnes of holy and godly love and you can exercise sufficient self-control then I say, GO FOR IT and GODBLESS YOU.
