I dissagree with Plato in what he says about someone being in love with a boy will try and shape/mold and control the boy for his own pleasure etc...

I think that depends on the morals of the man in question and what his love motivates him to desire.

I'm deeply in love with my yf and whilst my love has a sexual interest ... my Christian ethics inspire me to transcend that interest and seek to be a great blessing to this boy's life... not for my own pleasrue... but for his growth and maturity into manhood and godliness.

I can see that being in love may inspire one to want to "have" your boy... but it's not always the case.

I have to agree with the Socrates voice...and be in favour of a loving, but self-controlled friendship.
