Well, Don't get me wrong, I LOVE gore, I actually have a bit of a fetish...>>

In any case I, personally think that now-a-days horror movies focus far too much on gore and less on the actual plot for instance "See no evil" was a pretty dumb movie. I'm sick and tired of a bunch of stupid teens with no common sense running around some old abandoned area which ,conveniently enough, is located in a some place where there will never be any eye witnesses.

I too enjoyed "Psycho and "The Happening." A movie I enjoyed to no end however was "Silent hill."(I also enjoyed the games) I actually saw the commentary for it which is great to see for whatever movie in order to obtain a better understanding of what the director wants you to see. What I loved about "Silent Hill" was that the protagonist and the antagonist were both female. All of the strongest characters, that held control over something or another were women (and they did not spend the entire movie on their backs, in the kitchen or crying because they found out their husband is gay).

Stephen king....I liked watching "The Mist" The elder people were actually the strongest(It's a shame they all died) And the only little boy died...I didn't mind much.

I thought Final destination was pretty frightening though it was not how they died but, Personally, I would be scared out of my FREAKING mind if I could see my death before it happened. The first two were pretty decent but the third one (I thought) they just made for the hell of it.

OMG I had not even realized that Halloween was coming soon. I hope no little children come dressed up as my favorite movie characters or I'll have to put them in my closet(Inside joke between me and a friend of mine)
