Hi Chris,

Though I am not a big horror fan, I do sometimes enjoy them. I have also been a fan of Stephen King, off an on over the years. I agree with you about "Desperation" and "Stand By Me". I didn't like "Hearts in Atlantis" all that much, though, but thought "The Mist" was great.

Regarding Shyamalan, I am a HUGE fan of "The Sixth Sense", and really like "Unbreakable" and "Signs", too. The ones that came after that, though, have not grabbed me nearly as much. And, I've got to be honest, I HATED "The Happening". Though it wasn't bad in concept, and had a nice "atmosphere" to it, I though the acting and the dialog were dreadful -- Mark Wahlberg in particular. [I think a lot of the fault for that is the script and the direction, because Mark Wahlberg CAN act when the circumstances are right.] I'm afraid I'm starting to "sour" on Mr. Shyamalan (even though I have been a strong defender of his in the past).
