"If I'm sharing my views on a sensitive topic by passing my blunt views onto people its because I can take criticism back myself" but there's a lot of people out there who can't. The operate in a different way - and if you are to communicate effectively with them then you need to learn to talk so they can hear you. Have you ever heard of Myers-Briggs personality types? It is a system of assessment that helps you understand where other people are coming from - how they tick - and so discover why not everyone reacts the way you would, and so expect others to do so. For me doing it was a real revelation. Googling "myers briggs free" gives you lots of choice.... |
