I understand what you are saying and I have read posts at Boychat that I didn't like either. You're right that it certainly doesn't do any good for our "cause." But I'm a strong believer in free speech. Within limits, I think people should be free to say whatever is on their minds, whether I personally like it or not. I DO care what society thinks of us. I just don't think there is anything we can do about it. As you pointed out, some people are grossed out by what they read HERE. You'd be surprised how many times outsiders stumble upon our site and post a hate diatribe telling us we should all kill ourselves for having these attractions. They chastise us for "pretending" to be Christians and promoting child molestation. Of course, we DON'T promote child molestation, just the opposite. But the facts rarely change anyone's mind about us. They believe what they want to believe, even if they can't find any posts to support their contentions. So I doubt "cleaning up" the conversations on other boards would do anything to help people see we aren't all molesters. Anyway, the purpose of the boards is generally to support pedophiles in dealing with feelings they can't share with anyone else. The purpose isn't to change how society views us. That can only be done one person at a time on an individual basis, and I'm fairly certain society as a whole won't change their opinions, at least not in my lifetime.
