What a heartfelt cry, Youth. Echoes a lot of my feelings over the years. Your adaptation of the armor imagery is very apt and sobering.

I LOVE your conclusion, drowning in a pool of God only to find yourself miraculously breathing - speaks of hope still there, even if only very weak. Reminds me of Paul's 'for me to live is Christ' and 'in Him we live and move and have our being'
