Hi, Cat, In a certain sense this boy h a s been placed in our boundaries. Into the virtual ones. The decision got out of my hand the other day. My friend already reported it anonymously to cybertip. And to law enforcement here in my homecountry. But this is his cup of coffee... He told me about his doubts about this decision being a good one or not. Mainly because of the reasons you have named. He told me that one could see his approach even as an egoistic one. Because it was at least to 50% for the relief of his conscience. But his reasoning was as well: This guy, who is enough of a dork to produce videos, which show the face of the boy from all possible angles, in which his voice as well as the voice of the boy is clearly audible, in which the radio is running in the background with K*** radio station running (I forgot to mention that) he will get caught anyway. And he reasoned the earlier, the better. If it would have been totally hopeless, he probably wouldn't have reported. The remainder of the story I have already written in the "he reported" posting. Thank you, Cat. P.S.: I might be one of few people here who do have almost no contact to boys, being as far away as it gets (involved in the healing profession, mainly the elderly). So probably this absence of boys to love placed in my boundary made my feeling of "responsibility" for the boy in question worse. And his striking resmblance to my son at that age, of course. |
