"when did you switch from being a young "homosexual" to being an adult "boylover"?"

There was no switch for me. it was always and only ever boys.
The first time I can remember feeling sexual attraction (early puberty) it was always for prepubesent boys younger than myself.

That has never really changed for me.

I feel very occasional attractions to adults who are boyish looking (both guys and girls) but its not very sexual in nature.
