The boy in the movie was Jamie Bell.
All the boys who play him in the musical are cuter! They have a number in each city where it is playing (3 for each show usually). You can look them up on the net if you are interested.

The dressing up in women's clothes scene IS in the stage show... there is a whole musical number dedicated to it... very funny and lots of fun.

The being caught dancing together is kind of in there... the movie does it better on that one.
