Hi Blaze,

When I said you brought on some wonderful memories for me, I wasn't kidding. All I could think about today was this one. Well, maybe a few others, too. But this is one of my very favorite memories and I want to share it in here for you and everyone...

One of the very first things I ever did with my YF, where it was just he and I together, was also one of the very funnest. I know we both thought so. I was so nervous to ask his mom if I could take him to do something, just the two of us. I remember I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest. I had no idea what she would say, but I HOPED it would be yes. So I called her and at first she hesitated, but her brother told her that he thought I was a great guy and that "L" would probably just love it, so she did say yes!

Oh boy...I couldn't believe it! I picked "L" up and off we went. I didn't tell him where we were going, but he was so excited that I almost gave in and told him. But I wanted to see the look on his face when we pulled in to the....

Mini golf and go-cart place.

He just about jumped out of his skin when I told him we were going to ride the go-carts. Well, the guy wouldn't let him drive his own because he was a very short 9 year old, so we got one that both of us could drive; which was much better, anyways. He steered while I did the gas and brakes. Oh man, he laughed and laughed and had SO much fun. In fact we were both laughing and just having a ball, and that was also the first time I ever put my arm around him too. We were having so much cool fun that even the guy running the thing started laughing a little bit.
